About
Damien started drawing pictures as soon as he was old enough to hold a pencil. He would spend long hours spread out on the floor drawing on big sheets of butcher’s paper, or buy A2 pads for $2 from the local markets. As he got older he experimented with a variety of media; charcoal, pastels, acrylic and oil paints, ink. Later as technology improved he moved over to Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and what was then Macromedia Flash.
Now he works full time as a designer and a web and Flash developer at Good Dog Design in Adelaide. He illustrates for the joy of it, and is constantly experimenting with styles and trying to improve. Redbubble serves as an incredible motivation, and every comment or sale is very appreciated.
His work is mostly vector, drawn in Illustrator or Flash, although every piece begins it’s life on paper. If you want to see more of the sketches, some life drawing as well as work in other media, check out his regularly updated blogfolio at http://www.damienmason.com.
